The new G8 Rear-drive with a 261hp V6 or 362hp 6.0L(!) V8. I dig everything but the hood scoops. I'm I nuts, or should they be getting more power from a 6L engine? Anyway, the G6 is a nice little car. Hope this keeps it up.

The NFL reportedly stopped churches from showing the Super Bowl on big screens. You read that correctly. Apparently, it is a copyright violation for public venues to show NFL games on screens larger than 55", except for sports bars. The law was originally intended to prevent erosion of NFL TV ratings by preventing large gatherings from watching one TV which couldn't be accounted for by Nielson. The NFL is clearly afflicted with douchebaggitosis, hence this story is filed under douche baggery.

I thought it also had something to do with charging or some such. -ed

NEW YORK (Reuters) - General Motors Corp. (NYSE:GM - News) is in preliminary talks to buy the Chrysler Group, a source familiar with the situation said on Friday.

The news was earlier reported by Automotive News, which cited unnamed sources in Germany and the United States that high-level talks were talking place between GM and Chrysler Group parent DaimlerChrysler AG.(XETRA:DCXGN.DE - News) to buy the Chrysler Group in its entirety.

The source who spoke to Reuters, however, said it was questionable whether GM would want Chrysler's finance business, having recently sold its own finance arm.

This makes absolutely no sense to me. -ed
